Tonight's sweepstakes is an instant-win game and a sweepstakes promotion rolled into one. The game is designed for T-Mobile customers and you need to enter your T-Mobile phone number in order to play. If you aren't a customer, you can click on a "Don't have a T-Mobile phone number?" button to have a 10-digit number randomly generated for you. I personally could not get this feature to work. I therefore will be snail-mailing in an entry instead.
What can you win?
One grand prize winner will receive a new home, awarded in the winner's choice from these two options:
- $300,000 cash, or
- A KB Home valued at $250,000 and $50,000 cash.
25 first prize winners will receive one month's free rent or mortgage payment, awarded in the form of a $2,500 check.
100 second prize winners will receive a $100 T-Mobile gift card.
There are 500 instant-win prizes being given away. Each instant-win prize winner will receive a large T-Mobile T-Shirt worth $5.
How do I enter to win?
To enter via snail mail, hand-print your name, complete street address, date of birth, home phone number and e-mail address on a postcard, and mail to:

Postcards must be postmarked by 7/29/08 and received by 8/5/08. I do not see any restrictions on how many postcards you may mail in, but to be on the safe side and avoid disqualifying yourself, I would suggest not mailing in more than one per day.
Can I enter online?
If you are a T-Mobile customer, go to the T-MobileAtHome.com web site and enter your T-Mobile phone number for a chance to win. If you don't have a T-Mobile phone, it will generate a number for you, but I was unable to get that feature to work. You may have better luck than me. Even as far as that goes, the official rules seem to suggest that you can only play for instant-win prizes with the generated phone number. To earn sweepstakes entries without a T-Mobile phone, you will need to send in a postcard. The online instant-win game can be played daily through 11:59:59 P.M. ET on 7/29/08.
When are winners drawn?
Instant-win prizes will be awarded throughout the promotion period. Sweepstakes prize winners will be drawn on 8/6/08.
Who may enter this sweepstakes?
This sweepstakes is open to entry to all legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, provided you are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
