Contest postings get categorized by what kind of prize you can win. However, when the entry period is over and you'd be wasting stamps to mail in any entries, I move contest posts into the Expired Sweeps category.

At the bottom of each post, you'll see a line that reads something like "Posted by Denise in Cash Prizes at 08:09". That tells you what category (or categories) the prize is filed under. If it reads "Posted by Denise in { Expired Sweeps }", you'll know this sweepstakes' entry period is over.

Once a sweepstakes is over, I keep it in the Expired Sweeps category for three months, in case you need to refer back to the official rules, if you get a call or letter that you've won! After three months, I delete the post entirely. I don't want to tease you all with way out-of-date contest posts!
