What can you win?

Three grand prize winners will be selected. The first grand prize winner has already been selected. You still have a chance to win one of the remaining two grand prize packages:

What can you win?

50 grand prizes will be awarded. The prize package consists of a 7 day/6 night stay at Camp Woodward for the winner and one guest, at either their Pennsylvania or California location. The winner can choose one age-appropriate activity from the following list: gymnastics, cheerleading, BMX biking, in-line skating, skateboarding, or digital media. Airfare, accommodations, a gift bag, a special LUNCHABLES camp reception, and $100 spending cash is included. The winner and their guest must be between the ages of 7-17, and the prize must be used in August 2009 or between June and August 2010. The total ARV for each prize package is $5,790. Unfortunately, I think this hobby of ours is on the way out. As the Washington Post and other outlets have reported, postal mail seems to have recently suffered a steep dropoff in volume. I didn't even get any mail last Thursday! I know the mailman stopped by as he picked up my outgoing mail, but he didn't even leave any junk mail for me. The culprits are suspected to be the recent postage hike, and the economy in general.

I'm done with my promise to post a daily snail sweep. One, if this is the direction snail mail is taking, I might start having even more trouble than I've had in the past finding snail mail sweepstakes. More and more sweepstakes have been permitting online-entry-only in the past several years, and I'm sure that trend will increase. And two, I think the pressure of trying to post daily contributed to my avoiding this site for the last several weeks. Working 60 hour weeks doesn't help either.

This weekend, I'm going to be doing some housecleaning here at the site. I am starting to get nastygrams from folks about sweepstakes listed at this web site that have expired. This is what I'm thinking of doing:

1. Deleting all posts for sweepstakes that have expired more than 3 months ago
2. Adding the word "Expired" into the title of posts that are no longer accepting entries, but aren't 3 months past their expiration yet

This way, it should be clear to everyone coming to the web site which sweepstakes are open and taking entries, and which have ended and you shouldn't waste your stamp money on.

I think I have a snail sweep you all should like, but I need to wait until I get home tonight to post it. Talk to you later!

The sweepstakes is being advertised as a "Win a vacation to anywhere" giveaway, but the fine print states you'll actually win a cash prize to help you pay for your dream vacation. So in case you were scared off of this sweepstakes because you aren't in a vacationing mood, you should go ahead and enter anyways. I'm sure if you won, you could spend your cash any way you like, and not necessarily on a trip out of town.

Ten grand prize winners will each receive $10,000 cash, awarded as a check, that the winner may use towards a vacation of his or her choice.
